The Reflective Supervision & Coaching Skills course equips Registered Managers, Accommodation Managers, and senior leaders with the knowledge, frameworks, and practical tools required to deliver high-quality, reflective, and developmental supervision in children’s residential and supported accommodation settings. The training explores the purpose of reflective supervision, legal and regulatory expectations (Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023, Ofsted SCCIF), core coaching and reflective practice models, and the emotional intelligence required to create psychologically safe supervision spaces. Participants learn how to structure effective supervision sessions, use coaching approaches to deepen staff insight, manage challenging conversations, improve safeguarding oversight, and evidence the impact of supervision through high-quality records and quality assurance processes.
