The Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) training equips staff working in residential and supported accommodation with the essential knowledge, skills, and legal understanding required to prevent and manage the spread of infection. The course covers UK regulatory frameworks, principles of infection transmission, hand hygiene, PPE, cleaning standards, outbreak management (including COVID-19), and safe working practices that protect children, young people, and staff. Participants learn how to apply evidence-based guidance, maintain a safe environment, record and report incidents accurately, and embed a culture of vigilance, accountability, and high-quality care.
